Xiaojia Huang specializes in engineering research and design in areas such as special fire protection design, smart fire protection, smart electromechanical systems, smart hospitals, building and industrial water supply and drainage, urban water conservation, and sponge cities. He has led over 80 national key projects, more than 20 special fire protection designs, over 20 urban water conservation plans, sponge city plans, and technical consultations, and more than 20 provincial and ministerial-level research projects. He has served as the chief editor of more than 30 national and local standards, including the "Technical Code for Fire Water Supply and Hydrant Systems," "Standard for Safety Evaluation of Building and Industrial Water Supply and Drainage Systems," and "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings." He has authored 10 professional books, such as the "Design Manual for Automatic Sprinkler Systems," "Engineering Technology and Design Manual for Building Water Supply and Drainage," and "Urban Fire Safety and Fire Risk Identification." He has published over 100 papers, holds 25 invention patents, and has received 3 national design awards, 20 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards (including 8 first prizes), and 13 provincial and ministerial design awards.
